Last Day With The Family This Weekend :(

Today is the last day of our long weekend, and my family (well cousin) is leaving later.  That in turn means I have to finish all of my homework, and I really don't want to.  So, instead of doing homework I of course am writing! I have barely half a chapter to give you but I thought I would be nice and let you guys have something to read.  This short little chapter is from a medieval story I am writing so if you don't get some of the wording, or you think I worded something wrong please tell me and in the next post I will fix/explain it.

Chapter 1

"Good eve' Mother" I said as I walked into our house.  My mother, Isabel, was in the kitchen making supper.
"Good eve' Attilio how is the bakery?" My mother asked.  Isabel was a head taller then I and had caramel colored hair and pale blue eyes.  She stood near the fire, warming the food and herself on this chilly day.
"The bakery was fine today.  Maidens were talking about a ball of sorts, does thou know what yon fair maidens are excited over?" I asked with a wink.  My mother always found it funny when I talked about the women in our small square.  And she didn't disappoint me, she let out a peal of laughter.
"Thou hast not heard the news? The King and Queen are throwing a ball for our highness Charity. And thou are invited!" My mother Exclaimed.
"Me?" I asked shocked.
"Aye!" My mother grabbed my shoulders and kissed my cheek.
"Prithee, tell me thou aren't lying" I begged her.
"Would I lie to thee?" She asked with a smile, I shook my head, she would never lie to me. I held her tight to me and kissed her forehead. "Aren't thou excited?" She asked when I didn't answer.
"Very!" I exclaimed.  Smiling, my mother sat down and was basked in the glow of the fire as she finished supper.
I was to excited to do anything. The King and Queen invited me - me! - to the ball.  I couldn't help but feel like a lady, I was debating on what to wear (how feminine) and if I should have my mother trim my hair. Unconsciously i took off my cap and ran my fingers through my dirty blond hair. I placed my hat on the mantel and decided I could use a trim.  After I unbuttoned my doublet, I looked down at my clothes to see if I should  change for supper, my clothes were covered in flour, but i decided I should keep them on.  Maybe Mother would tailor me some new clothes - fancier clothes - or I could even have a tailor in Karlington make me a new outfit.  My thoughts were interrupted by a toddler attaching herself to my leg.
"Atti, Atti" the little girl screamed.
"Emma" I yelled, picking her up and holding her on my hip.  Her old chemises - which was mine and then went down the line - had a new hole in the sleeve.  "Emma, guess what thy brother is doing after the morrow? I am going to the bell, Emma!"

Yep, so, that was about it.  I have a bit or writers block with this story (I have the plot and everything else, it's just how to put it all together) .  I also started writing this yesterday but was forced to get off the computer to go shopping with my family (♥).  But I have written more of everything! So tomorrow when I have a suitable amount for you I will post again. But until then . . .
